Early versus late detection of Autism in children - Project
Project overview
Using a quantitative version of the Checklist for Autism in Toddlers (CHAT) screening instrument, this project will compare early detection in children with autism (at 18 months) against later detection (36 months), in order to ascertain its value as a cost-effective, easy-to-use tool for early identification of autism spectrum conditions. If positive, the outcome of this study will provide direct empirical evidence of the effectiveness of early intervention.
