The Befriending Unaccompanied Minors Project - Project
Project overview
The project aids the integration of young unaccompanied refugees into Birmingham, Sandwell and Solihull (aged 14 to 17). It offers group activities and one to one support services through a team of volunteer befrienders aged 18-25. Volunteers help young refugees access services and local opportunities; build positive social relationships; improve their English and enjoy a range of social activities. The project also provides immigration advice through a local organisation.
