Project overview

The Lowe Syndrome Trust supports those diagnosed with Lowe Syndrome, this is caused by a genetic mutation in a metabolic enzyme which affects the brain, eyes, kidneys, bones and muscles. The disease only affects males who may be born with a number of different problems from cataracts, arthritis, muscle weakness to seizures, epilepsy and autism. Their health deteriorates and most do not survice into adulthood.
