An archivist and a curator propose to take origional sources for the history of the WWII from the York archives and museums into schools in the city. We hope to target the students who are studying the impact of the War (KS2) or some aspect of the war (year 9 and GCSE) as part of their curriculum and, working with teachers, to explain to students how to interpret such material, using textual and physical clues, and what questions to ask to elicit the clearest response.
