Pathways to Employment Outdoors - Project

Project overview

The project aims to increase participation by local people, especially Welsh speakers, in the outdoor activities sector in North Wales. Volunteers will be recruited and trained as Mountain Leaders, Climbing, paddle-sports and Mountain Bike Leaders. A skills development programme will be offered to economically inactive local people with the aim of providing an exit route into employment in the sector for at least 110 people. The grant over three years will pay for the salaries of 4 full-time staff.
