Thames21 aims to clean up the Grand Union Canal in Southall and enhance this existing breathing place. Project activities will include thinning out vegetation, planting native wildflowers to enhance biodiversity, and installing bat boxes, habitat rafts, and kingfisher burrows. The organisation will hold community clean-up days, and organise a Canal Day offering free activities to attract new visitors. Beneficiaries will include local residents and visitors to the canal.
