Improving responses to children in contact with the law, Bangladesh - Project
Project overview
This Bangladesh project will support children that live and work on the streets and come into contact with the law. The project will set up Child Welfare desks in police stations to provide legal representation, ensure that children are not locked up for small offences through mediation with involved parties, and establish Child welfare committees to provide a bail supervision and support scheme, rehabilitation and reunification programme. It will also lobby the government for juvenile justice reform.
