The grant will be used to run the Foyle Haven Safe From Harm project which will provide premises and support services for street drinkers and the homeless in a bid to improve their safety and well-being. The project will provide a safe place for drinkers to be, rather than on the streets, as well as laundry, shower and sleeping facilities. It would also deliver programmes such as personal hygiene, anger management, healthy eating including nutrition and chronic alcohol abuse.
