The organisation, which supports young people and adults with autistic spectrum disorder, will use the grant to create a market garden at its Bryansford Road Day Care Centre in Newcastle. Under the guidance of a garden manager, eight local people with autism will help look after the garden by potting plants, planting and collecting crops and flowers and making up the hanging basket orders.
