Project overview

The Gateshead project will continue and develop a timebank model to encourage community participation and reduce isolation for people living in the area. Beneficiaries will be supported to become more active in their community and receive a timebank credit for every hour they give. These credits can be 'cashed-in' and exchanged for different types of help and support to other beneficiaries. Although the project will focus on older people, the scheme also aims to benefit people of all ages.
