Project overview

The project offers a national advice service, tailored to British Sign Language users. It helps clients with debt, finance, benefits, housing, civil rights and how to access external services. Clients can either sign with a trained advisor using a video platform, or access a text-based service. Organisations and local authorities are able to refer their clients to the helpline, thus improving their own service to deaf people. The funding will ensure the project is able to continue to run effectively.
